• The UM Master of Architecture is a leading Part II programme in Malaysia which aims to produce excellent Graduate Architects who are innovative, confident and intelligent. Besides delving into architectural design projects, students are also able to pursue their interests in highly specialised elective courses; AND
• Our programme is one out of only two programmes that are accredited by LAM and validated by RIBA in Malaysia.

Career Opportunity

This qualifications will enable them to work as Graduate Architects at government agencies or private companies, building contractors or develops, interior or landscape designers, university lecturers (with PhD) or Professional Architects (with LAM/RIBA Part III qualification).

PROGRAMME DURATION 

Minimum : 2 years (4 Semesters and 1 Special Semester) 
Maximum : 4 years (8 Semesters)

Entry Requirement
• Bachelor of Science in Architecture University of Malaya with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and have relevant work experience for at least 6 months after obtaining the degree; and
• Pass the technical test and portfolio interview; or
• Bachelor of Science/Arts in Architecture or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 from any university approved by the Senate as equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in Architecture University with honours; and
• Meet the requirements of Part I of the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM); and
• Have relevant working experience for at least 6 months after obtaining the degree; and
• Pass the technical test and portfolio interview.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

• Have other qualification recognized as equivalent to the Special Conditions of the program recommended by the Malaysian Government and the University Senate; and
• Meet the requirements of Part I of the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM); and
• Pass the technical test and portfolio interview; and
• A minimum score:
 International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic): Band 5.5; or
 Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 80 (IBT).

Semester 1 of the academic year commences in September
