The Centre for Building, Construction & Tropical Architecture (BuCTA) is a centre of research at Universiti Malaya whose vision is to ‘become a world renowned research centre for the advancement of knowledge in Building, Construction & Tropical Architecture. There are five groups under the auspices of this centre and led by one person respectively
OBJECTIVE
- Facilitate and provide postgraduate education in relevant areas.
- Provide advice and consultancy for management and policy decisions on building, constructions and tropical architecture.
- Publish and disseminate research outputs in journals, monographs and bulletins.
- To discuss the latest advances in the field of on building, constructions and tropical architecture, as well as to seek and highlight developments in managerial strategies and assessment tools for policy and decision makers.
- To conduct a research on building, constructions and tropical architecture issues
VISION
- To lead in building, constructions and tropical architecture research, development and commercialization, education and training in Malaysia.
- To become a world renowned research centre for the advancement of knowledge in building, constructions and tropical architecture.
MISSION
- To advance knowledge by focusing on research in in building, constructions and tropical architecture that has impact on the property development.
