The Master of Facilities and Maintenance Management (MFMM) is accredited by the Royal Instituition of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), United Kingdom. The programme syllabus are formed to meet International (RICS, BIFM, IFMA) and Local (CIDB) requirements, which aims to produce competent FM professionals equipped with current innovations and skills.
Facilities managers deal with a diverse range of responsibilities, which are dependent on the structure and size of the organisation. They are employed in public and private sectors, as well as other industries locally and globally. The diversity of the work may be reflected in different job titles such as operations, estates, technical services, and asset or property manager.
Facilities managers are involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and business premises. Likely areas of responsibility include the following:
