The Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya offers a range of specialised laboratory equipment and technical services for rental. Our facilities support academic, research, and industry applications, ensuring reliable and professional-grade tools for your projects.

Rental Terms & Conditions

Advance Booking: Applications must be submitted at least one (1) week prior to the intended rental date. 
Rental Fees: Charges vary depending on the type of equipment and duration of use. Full details will be specified in the official rental quotation/invoice. 
Payment: Full payment must be made prior to equipment release, unless otherwise agreed in writing. 
Usage Responsibility: All equipment must be used responsibly and strictly for permitted purposes.

BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING LAB (BIM)


MODERN METHOD CONSTRUCTION LAB (MMC)
 
MMC Lab equipped with AR/VR & 5D BIM software will elevate UM to the forefront of research and education.

FIRE LAB
 
This fire lab equipped with a cone calorimeter and a single burning item apparatus will elevate FBE and UM to the forefront of fire safety research and education. These advanced tools provide critical data on material combustion and fire behaviour, essential for developing fire-resistant materials and complying with stringent safety standards. This lab offers hands-on learning experiences that could drive innovations, secure external funding, and significantly contribute to public safety and regulatory advancements
