1) Emotional and Psychological support to those in needs via:
Psychological and Well-being Consultation by UM Counselor, Mdm. Vijayah Malar A/P Palanisamy (vijayah@um.edu.my) of the Centre for Counseling & Disability Empowerment (CCDE), under the Registrar’s Office, Universiti Malaya.Students may also refer to the FBE's Mental Health Liaison Officer, Assoc. Prof. Sr Dr. Mohd Suhaimi Mohd Danuri who will assist and act as a liaison officer for student’s mental health issues in the faculty with CCDE.
2) Psychological Testing
Emotional Wellbeing Profiling by CCDE is available each semester. To identify student’s mental health status, thereafter psychological interventions are offered if necessary. Please click here for more info.
3) Other type of Psychological Testing, Developmental/Awareness and Prevention Program by CCDE are also available and to be announced from time to time via email.
The Student Welfare Fund Scheme by the Student Affairs Division (HEP), Universiti Malaya is available for the FBE active students, both undergraduate and higher degree students. Death, accident, and natural disaster are among the financial aids available under the scheme. Please click here for more info and eligibility.
Universiti Malaya also provides financial aid and/or scholarship through Zakat which will be announced from time-to-time via email and student portal MyUM.
The Student Welfare Fund Scheme under Student Affairs (HEP), UM provides several financial aid in cases of death, accident, medical/hospitalisation and other emergency matters.
Universiti Malaya’s Zakat Unit also provides financial aid and/or scholarship which will be announced from time-to-time via email.
